Highlead GC0388 industrial sewing machine featuring a top feed walking foot and bottom feed system that is suitable to sew medium & heavy weight materials such as leather, synthetics, vinyl, canvas, fibre-glass, PVC, plastics, webbing, upholstery and bulky articles etc. It is also useful when stitching multiple ply of heavier/bulkier than usual standard fabrics and when combining differing materials together (i.e. adding webbing onto cordura and other technical textiles).

The sewing arm is higher & 30% longer* than most standard machines: allowing additional sewing clearance for larger or heavy items. (Clearance up-to: Height 150mm x Length 335mm)

The balanced sewing machine head benefits from automatic lubrication to reduce wear & tear, resulting in improved durability, lower noise levels, smoother running and minimal maintenance costs.

The top mounted adjusting dials allow for greater versatility, with the operator able to set & match the walking foot climbing height to a particular job. Useful for operators who often have to switch between differing materials and applications. This offers a real advantage, when compared with older style fixed walking foot models, by adding the ability to quickly & easily change between different thicknesses while maintaining a positive feeding action with a balanced stitch formation.

The fitting of a large hook & base as standard, reduces the number of bobbin changes and helps when using the thicker threads associated with heavier materials.

A large stitch length is available up to 8mm and a high foot lift of up to 16mm offers good clearance when stitching bulky/heavy items.  

The Highlead GC0388 is a general purpose top & bottom feeding machine for use on medium to heavy weight applications and typical operators are stitching, for example: car seats, general leather articles, upholstery, heavy household textiles/curtains, belts, horse rug repairs, canvas, webbing, tents, hats, rucksacks, awnings, support aids, banners, covers, technical textiles, bags, outdoor wear, play structures/mats, work-wear and other material articles.
