Highlead GC2698-1D walking foot industrial sewing machine with a narrow cylinder arm shape and an automatic thread trimming device. It features: a heavy duty triple feeding action by way of: bottom feed, needle bar feed and alternating walking foot top feed, which combine together to produce high quality displacement-free seams. The versatile narrow cylinder free-arm design guarantees improved material handling on three-dimensional items like: gloves, shoes, straps, filters, small leather goods and other such items which can be difficult to handle on a standard flat bed style machine. It can also be used as a general purpose medium weight walking foot stitcher on upholstery, leather wear, bags and closing operations etc. The automatic thread trimming device, combined with an electronic needle position motor, can save considerable production time when compared with a basic manual trim model. It facilitates easier loading/unloading and handling without operators having to pull away the stitched product to access and cut the threads. This can be particularly useful with preformed articles and may also help to save thread. A foot lift clearance of up-to 14mm allows for a wider range of materials to be accommodated and the high top walking foot movement, of up-to 7mm, allows for thicker applications to be stitched even over cross seams. The Highlead is of a robust construction for industrial use and its features also include a front mounted bobbin winder for easy use and quick change over, plus a manual reverse lever with combined stitch length adjuster. The Highlead GC2698-1D is supplied as standard complete on a "off the arm unit stand", with its cylinder arm overhanging the end of the unit stand, allowing for greater all-around access and improved versatility.
