Highlead GM288-5 high speed twin needle overlock sewing machine utilizing 5 threads to produce an overlocking seam, together with an independent straight safety stitch. It can also be used to produce a standard 3 thread overlock finish by simply removing one of the needles & un-threading one of the loopers. Robust time served design with a superior feeding mechanism for better overall performance and increased versatility. The GM288-5 is a medium-heavy weight model, with a higher looper lift clearance to accept heavier materials, as used in factories around the world & popular with clothing & textile manufacturers. Fully enclosed oil system with running speeds at up-to 6500 stitches per minute. Smooth & quiet operation using a balanced overlocker sewing head with easy to use operator adjustments such as stitch size and feeder movement. Highlead GM288-5 comes assembled with unit stand, wooden table top, 5-way cotton stand & quiet energy saving electronic servo motor (standard UK plug).
