The Highlead GM988-5Z series is a high-performance industrial overlock sewing machine featuring an advanced, integrated direct-drive motor system. This twin-needle, 5-thread general-purpose model is designed for stitching a varied range of materials. It offers excellent flexibility, as it can also be easily converted to produce a 3-thread overlock finish by simply removing one needle and unthreading the corresponding looper. Ideal for manufacturing a diverse range of garments and textiles, this machine delivers perfectly balanced stitch formations for superior seam quality. It creates a robust finish by combining a 3-thread overlocked and trimmed edge with a 2-thread independent safety chainstitch. The built-in direct-drive motor ensures a smooth and quiet workspace. It provides the operator with full control over a wide range of adjustable speeds and is highly efficient, offering up to 60% energy savings compared to traditional V-belt driven clutch motors. User-friendly adjustments allow for quick setting of both the stitch length and differential feed. Additionally, a built-in LED light is included as standard to provide bright, clear visibility across the needle area.
